Installation
Kmila shares a single code base (.NET 9) between its native application and its web version. Choose the option that best suits you.
Option A — Browser demo
The fastest way to try Kmila is the demo on this site: register with a username and password (no personal data) and get a limited environment to edit and simulate.
The demo is a limited sample. Projects may be deleted without prior notice and their persistence is not guaranteed.
Option B — Self-host with Docker (Linux)
Kmila's web version is designed to run on a Linux server, so that anyone can use it from the browser regardless of their operating system.
# Clona el repositorio
git clone https://github.com/Kmila9s/Kmila.git
cd Kmila
# Construye y levanta el contenedor
docker compose up --build
When it finishes, open http://localhost:8080 in your browser.
Server requirements: ~1 GB of free disk, 200 MB of free RAM, x64 or ARM64.
Option C — Build the web version from source
If you prefer to run it without Docker you need the .NET 9 SDK.
git clone https://github.com/Kmila9s/Kmila.git
cd Kmila/App/Kmila/Kmila.Web
dotnet run
The application will be available at http://localhost:5297.
Option D — Native application
Download the native app for your platform:
- Windows and macOS (desktop)
- Android and iOS (mobile)
Native builds are distributed from the project repository.
Notes
- No server infrastructure or cloud services are required for the native or self-hosted versions.
- All technologies are open source or free for academic use.
- See the Getting started guide for your first project.
